Hello! I am a Colorado native. Born in Colorado Springs, grew up in Woodland Park, and attended the University of Northern Colorado (go Bears!). I have been a resident of Denver since 2007 and live in Park Hill with my husband and daughter, who is a Freshman at East. It has been awesome to watch her flourish and grow at East. My goal is to be a positive, helpful contributor to the school through my role on the East PTSA. In my former life (much former), I was an elementary school teacher for 6 years. However, for the past 13 years, I have enjoyed working in the accounting department of a real estate investment firm. My current role is Treasury and Investor Relations. When not working, I love exploring different types of food, traveling, skiing, and spending time with the wonderful family and friends in my life.

In another life, Michelle was a graphic and web designer for real estate agents, aerospace companies, and several software startups. When her children were born, she became laser-focused on ensuring they had the best education DPS could offer. As a result, Michelle has been on the board of the PT(S)A at each of the six schools her children have attended. Michelle has spent the last five years involved in the East Angelbotics team. She is passionate and vocal about school equality because she believes all children deserve a quality education regardless of their neighborhood. Besides her family, Michelle's favorite things are her garden, a crowded dining table, and being covered in paint as she pretends 3D art is as easy as graphic design. Michelle lives in Park Hill with her family and their three cats.
